Earlier this year, Luckie completed one of our most ambitious digital projects to date: a fully re-imagined, content-rich home for the Alabama Tourism Department. We believe the new Alabama.travel is one of the best state tourism sites in the country, and this week we learned we’re definitely not alone in that opinion.
The 2013 Content Marketing Awards, announced Thursday, included three honors for Alabama.travel:
- GOLD: Best Overall Design
- BRONZE: Best Overall Website (One of the award show’s highest-level categories; Gold went to Google and Silver to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.)
- HONORABLE MENTION: Best Landing Page
The Content Marketing Awards, overseen by the Content Marketing Institute, bases its awards on a diverse range of factors, including writing, design and user experience. “Our judges consider such elements as informational and entertainment value, quality of writing and display copy, creative use of imagery and typography, and consistency of color palette and style,” the institute notes in this year’s winners list.
