This week, Adweek made some waves in the marketing industry with the debut of the “United States of Advertising,” a map featuring the magazine’s picks for the top ad agencies by state. We at Luckie were proud to see we were selected as Alabama’s “top shop.”
“There are quite a few talented agencies in Alabama, but it’s nice to see Luckie recognized for 60 years of hard work and high standards,” agency President Tom Luckie wrote in an email congratulating the staff. “Kudos to all of those who came before us and to all of you who work so hard every day.”
Adweek’s map highlighted 50 agencies based on a variety of criteria including “head count, notable clients, legacy and reputation.”
Luckie has undergone extensive growth in recent years as our client portfolio has expanded to include stellar brands like Char-Broil, GlaxoSmithKline, Drake’s Cakes, Vanderbilt Athletics, CareSpot and Captain D’s, alongside longstanding clients like Regions Bank, AT&T, Alabama Tourism, Little Debbie, Bayer Advanced and many more.
Our agency now has offices in San Antonio, Atlanta and London, but our heart remains in sweet home Alabama, where we were founded by Robert “Ace” Luckie in 1953. So it means a great deal to be named our home state’s top agency. We’d like to thank Adweek for helping shine a light on hard-working agencies that have stayed rooted in their communities.
